Huzzah!
Two Wurm Walders were recognized at Toys for Tots:
Kirstin of Wurm Wald: Award of Arms
Tomaris Kapalomeni: Award of Arms
I’ve changed the Wiki Link on the main page to point to http://wurmwald.pbworks.com/. We should finish moving anything we want to keep current over from Wetpaint. If your stuff is moved and ready to relink I’ll change the target at the ww.org to reflect the change. Also after the Maidens Issue I’m going to do monthly offline backups of the wurmwald.org sites. I’m guessing this blog is the “record”. If you tag it or put a category on it that is even better.
For some reason the update to the FoM site has resulted in the White Screen of Death.
I’m on the case and hope to have it back soon. The other two sites including this one updated fine.
6:26pm – Issue fixed. Maidens is back.

Fiber Processing Stage 1
The November 19th Arts and Sciences meeting was devoted to making paper.
Sometimes scraping parchment is not what you want to do. The mess, expense and the pungent smell of rotting animal carcasses is not always the image you want to project to your neighbors.
Welcome Paper! Made from plant fibers and castoff clothes this “paper” allows for cheaper communication and will revolutionize work creating millions of jobs in the centuries to come. One day “paperwork” will dominate global society. Huzzah for paper!

Processing Phase 2

Hi folks! I’ve put together a short video tutorial that explains how to log into our shiny new shire blog and create a new post. Included are explanations on how to add an active link, upload a photo, and embed a video, plus a quick overview on RSS so you can sign up for notifications when this blog is updated. (If you are at the “What is RSS?” stage, you might want to watch the short video RSS in Plain English for a clear explanation.)
The video:
You may have noticed in this video that there is now a Wurm Wald YouTube account. So far it includes this tutorial, one for using our shire wiki, and a few Music Guild performances. If you’d like to contribute, start recording! Ask me or our handy Webminister for more details on how to upload to the shire account there.
We had a fantastic practice last night. Good men from all over the midlands came to the Stock Pavilion and fun was had by all.
Thanks to everyone who came out.
